 The V385 is a VME/VXI compatible eight-channel strain-gage signal conditioner applicable to generic bridge-type transducer applications. The V385 adds individual remote-sensed excitation supplies to each channel, increasing its precision over the Model V380's single excitation supply.

Key to the V385's increased precision is a separate remotely-sensed excitation voltage for each channel. Now users can measure up to eight different sensors with different interface cables without the uncertainty of a single sense point for the excitation supply.

The V385's updated firmware accommodates customer requests for faster access to raw sensor data. A firmware version with weighing-specific functions is also available.

ADDRESSING
512-byte data block in bus A16 address range (VME short I/O space). Bus address is set by onboard dipswitch.
EXCITATION Per-channel onboard remote-sensed bridge excitation source, 5- or 10-volt switchable; 40mA max per-channel load.

SYNC A mechanism is included to synchronize the sample times of all eight ADCs.
LEDs LEDs indicate microprocessor heartbeat, VME access, and pass/fail status.
